What is a UK Trial Day Experience?GSA are experts in the field of football development, and have already had 29 players signed at professional clubs in just 3 years. We believe our knowledge and systems match with those in modern professional football.
GSA UK Trial Day Experiences give you the opportunity to demonstrate how much you have learnt from the Academy Skills Program. UK Trial Day Experiences allow you to put your skills into practice in front of the GSA assessment team in pursuit of a professional football contract.
The Trial Day will be lots of fun. You will receive coaching and assessment from qualified UEFA coaches who have experience in working in professional academies and centres of excellence. Whatever the result of your trial, by the end of the day you will have learnt new skills, new methods, and gain great advice on how to improve as a player!
How will I be graded?
UK Trial Day Experience assessments are based on the four corners of football development, as used by most top European clubs when assessing talented players. The four corners of development comprise of what it takes to become a professional player:
Technical - Tactical - Physical - Mental
Each player on a GSA UK Trial Day Experience receives an assessment within 7 working days. If you receive an 'A' grade you will be placed into a GSA talent development centre and play a match with professional football club scouts in attendance. If you're successful at this subsequent stage, you will be awarded with a trial at a professional football club.
If you receive a 'B' grade it will be recommended that you continue with the GSA Academy Skills Training Programs for a further 12 weeks, concentrating on key development areas highlighted on your assessment form. You will be given the opportunity to re-trial once the suggested development areas have been worked on, and you feel ready for a further trial.

A Technical Assessment Day Schedule:
- 09.30 - 10:00 Welcome - delivered by the GSA Coaching Team
- 10:00 - 11:00 Begin morning technical training sessions
- 12:00 – 13:00 Break for lunch (fun sessions)
- 13:00 – 16:00 Begin afternoon technical assessments/trials
- 16:00 – 16:15 Certificates & Finish
